Working Principle
Normal Operation: In normal operating conditions, the bimetallic strip within the protector remains in a stable state. This allows for the uninterrupted flow of current through the protected device.
Temperature Rise: When the temperature of the protected device exceeds a predefined threshold, the bimetallic strip begins to heat up.
Bimetallic Action: Due to the difference in thermal expansion rates of the two metals in the bimetallic strip, it bends as the temperature rises.
Circuit Interruption: The bending of the bimetallic strip physically separates the electrical contacts, interrupting the power supply to the protected device. This prevents further damage caused by excessive heat.
Manual Reset: Once the temperature of the protected device cools down, the bimetallic strip returns to its original position, allowing the device to resume operation.
