How it Works:
Bimetallic Strip: The heart of the KSD9700 is a bimetallic strip, composed of two different metals bonded together. These metals expand and contract at different rates when exposed to temperature changes.
Temperature Sensing: As the temperature of the ballast increases, the bimetallic strip bends due to the differential expansion.
Activation: When the temperature reaches a predetermined threshold, the bending of the bimetallic strip triggers a mechanical switch.
Circuit Interruption: The activated switch interrupts the power supply to the ballast, preventing further heating and potential damage.
Reset: Once the temperature cools down, the bimetallic strip returns to its original position, allowing the circuit to resume operation.
